Behind every goal you’ve ever set… lies one brutal truth:

Most people don’t fail because they lack ability.
They fail because they lack commitment.

When I delivered this talk, I walked the audience through a simple but confronting sequence:

  • You read it… but don’t finish
  • You finish… but don’t apply
  • You apply… but not consistently

The Real Difference

“The difference between thinking and doing is your level of commitment.”

This is where most people get uncomfortable.

Because commitment is not about intention.
It’s about consistent action—especially when you don’t feel like it.

My Turning Point

One of the most vulnerable parts of this talk is sharing my failure during my Chartered Accountant journey. Despite strong academic performance, I failed a key board exam, twice.

What frustrated me most?
People I had mentored… were passing.
That moment forced a shift:

“Stop competing with others. Start competing with your prior best.”

That one mindset shift changed everything.

The Hidden Driver of Commitment

In the talk, I introduce a powerful idea:

Your commitment is driven by your voids and values
The bigger the perceived gap in your life…
The stronger your commitment becomes.

If something truly matters—you don’t negotiate with it.
You execute.

If you’re not doing something you know you should be doing, ask:

“How big is the void?”

Because if the void is small… your action will be too.

“If you do not commit to your dreams, it’s like having a ship with no ocean.”
